Your dentist and all of our staff here at Edmonds & Sherman Dental look forward to meeting you and doing everything possible to make your first visit as easy and beneficial as possible.
A healthy, confident smile is important to your health and well-being. By helping you take care of problems and pain now, we can help you avoid more serious and expensive issues down the road.
First things first, when you first arrive and meet our staff, you'll fill out a registration form. This helps our team get to know you better. It's always a good idea to arrive a few minutes early.Edmonds & Sherman Dental makes it easy for our new patients! Save time by filling out your patient forms ahead of your initial appointment.
We love to answer any question you may have! If you have any questions during your visit, or if there is anything you don't understand, members of the Edmonds & Sherman staff are always happy to provide assistance.
We will begin by taking a series of digital images or x-rays to get a better look at your entire mouth. X-rays allow us to see things we normally couldn't, and help us provide a comprehensive exam.
After reviewing your x-rays, your dentist will discuss your dental and medical history and the reason for your visit. The dentist will then perform a thorough oral exam that includes and oral cancer screening.
Once we have achieved all the required data our Dentists will suggest a comprehensive treatment plan that's best for you. This is important, because seeing the full picture helps you make the best decisions about your care. Our goal is to provide you with comprehensive oral care - that means taking care of immediate problems and preventing small issues from getting bigger and more expensive. If left untreated some conditions may have serious consequences for your overall health, including heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
After the doctor completes your exam, our office manager will meet with you to answer any questions, discuss payment options, and work with you on the best treatment plan for your needs.
Upon completing your first appointment, you will take a copy of our complete evaluation with you, and set the date for your follow-up appointment.
